Music Techie Teachers

Music Teachers that are Techies

Calling all Techies! I am going to be receiving funds to purchase 4 MAC computers and software. I teach Pre-K to Third Grade with more than half of my population bilingual in Spanish. I would love to find some interactive music games that I could use to create a center for 8 students to work on while I work with the other students. I am also looking into buying finale - but not sure if that would be too difficult for this age. Also wondering how to incorporate Garage Band/iMovie into some projects. ANY thoughts/ideas/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!

I'd go with Groovy Shapes and some sets of good headphones. Shapes is really well done and my 1st graders can run it completely on their own.

I agree with Brenda about Groovy series. Two students use one station with a splitter with 2 headphones. It's kids-friendly and easy. You can easily give students to "explore" lessons and assess their weakness/strengths. The assessment does become hard if there are multiple kids on one station! My 1-5th grade uses Groovy Shapes, Jungle, and City and love them.
I use "computer" days to reiterate my teaching days and they work great.
