Mixing Software

Hey Ya'll,

I've been tapped to teach a "Music Tech" class to 8th graders next year. It's a 12 week, 2 days/wk class. We have a pc lab. I need software ideas, preferably web 2.0 and free but...I'll live with what I can get. IDEAS! PLEASE!!

How about using Jamstudio for creating tracks? You can use it free without saving and possibly get a grant from them. Also, Noteflight is free notation for creating and editing music.
