Music Techie Teachers

Music Teachers that are Techies

I am currently searching for a website where I can upload my personal music and create a stream that I can share with my students. I have looked at a couple of websites, like esnips.com, but I get a bad feeling from them.

Does anyone use anything like this or know of anything?

How about a ME account from Apple?

From what I see on the apple site, I could upload the files and share them, but don't see a way to share without having the students download the files. Could I create a online stream or playlist with MobileMe?

Here is my site on MobleMe. go take a look at some of my band's stuff that i have posted.

Now I do use software on my Mac, iWeb, to create the pages. Very easy and fast. So if you are not on a Mac, not sure what you would or could use.

If you want to circulate ideas and files, you may be interested in a classroom management system like Moodle or Blackboard. Come to think of it SmartMusic would be a good choice as well. Not as pretty as a web page with embeded audio or midi, but it may be something that your school has already.

You might try www.Yola.com. They give 1GB of storage with very minimal advertising. You can create a website with them or just use it for storage and link to the files from other blogs/sites that you may already have.
